2020-2021 ELC Leadership
Olivia Wall, ELC Chair
Olivia is a community volunteer in her sixth year of service with ELC. She earned a B.A. in Art History from Washington & Lee University and worked at the Whitney Museum of American Art, as well as two travel and hospitality PR firms, before returning to Atlanta in 2009. A native of Athens, Georgia, Olivia now serves as a marketing consultant for Mansfield Energy Corp. In addition to her work with Children’s, she also volunteers with the Agape Youth & Family Center and serves as a Sunday school teacher and volunteer at Trinity Church. Olivia lives in Buckhead with her husband and three children.
Margaux Charbonnet, MD, ELC Membership Chair
Margaux is Medical Director of the Medically Complex Care Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She has now worked at Children’s for 10 years after completing her pediatric residency at Emory University. Margaux attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree and despite her Louisiana upbringing remains a lifelong Bulldawg fan. She was awarded the “Rising Star” award by the Children’s 1998 Society and was a member of UGA’s 40 Under 40 class in 2018. In addition to her work at Children’s, Margaux is a mom to two young children and enjoys spending time with her husband Gordon. Margaux is in her fourth year with ELC.
Leigh Rogers Slack, ELC Fundraising Chair
Leigh currently serves as the VP of Recruiting and Development for Waffle House, Inc. She holds a B.F.A. from New York University and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver. An Atlanta native, Leigh began her professional life in arts education before moving into business. Prior to Waffle House, Leigh spent three years in New Zealand working for Coca-Cola Amatil, NZ.
Leigh is in her fourth year of service with ELC. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and daughter.
Valerie Harper, ELC Alumni Chair
Valerie is in her fourth year of service with ELC. She also serves on the Children’s Family Advisory Council, which she joined in 2012. As a native Atlantan, Valerie had minor surgeries and treatments at Children’s as a child. However, her interest in giving back to the hospital was kindled when her middle son was born with DiGeorge syndrome and multiple cardiac defects. Valerie earned a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration from Washington and Lee University and currently works as an accountant for The Arbor Company. Additionally, she enjoys volunteering at her church and her children’s schools. Valerie and her husband live in Vinings with their three children.
